Five Questions to Ask Before You Quit

Wanting to leave a job does not always mean you should. Before you resign, it helps to know what you are running from and what you are running toward.

Reconnecting with your purpose does not require a dramatic reinvention. It begins with small, honest questions: What lights you up? What would you do if no one were watching? When did you last feel truly proud of yourself?

Start with your values

Your values are the compass you forgot you were carrying. Take twenty quiet minutes and write down the five principles that matter most to you — honesty, creativity, family, freedom, growth, whatever rises first. Then look at your calendar and ask whether your week reflects them.

Notice what drains you

Purpose is as much about subtraction as addition. Pay attention to the commitments that leave you hollow, and give yourself permission to renegotiate them. Every draining obligation you release makes room for something meaningful.

Take one aligned step

Clarity follows action, not the other way around. Choose one small step — a conversation, a class, a morning routine — that points toward the person you want to become, and take it this week. Momentum is built, not found.

If you would like a guide for that journey, my one-to-one coaching programs are designed exactly for this kind of rediscovery. You do not have to find your way back alone.
